I was at a local shop, and picked up Excal's latest catalouge...some of the specs have changed...the power stroke on the vixen, and pheonix..

Phoenix, was 14"..(now is 14.5")
Vixen, was 14"..(now is 13.5")...
I measured the pwer stroke on my phoenix, and it's dead on 14.5"

Also heard that "all" bows well soon be using a Dacron style string...something to do with helping the limbs in case of a dry-fire..

BigBear with a change to a dacron string, would'nt the speed of the arrow drop ?

You're right about that, dacron or any material that gives more, while being more forgiving, uses more energy to do so. The laws of physics stipulate that if you pay Peter, you must rob Paul.

However, if using dacron strings will reduce stress, save limbs and reduce warranty claiims, I suppose it's justified.
