I had to put some gas in this morning and it was $ 1.10 cents a litre. I know it will get even more expensive here as soon as the tourist season starts. :cry:

You're not seeing the big picture. The more oil they sell, the more "absolute value" money they make.

For example; They set the price at $1.00 a unit with a profit margin of 5%. They sell 500 units and make $25.
These jokers know that we are dependant on their product.
If the consumption goes down to 250 units with the same profit margin of 5%, they will only make $12.50. How will they compensate for the other $12.50? They will raise the price, knowing that we are dependant on the product and we will pay it.

That's the way it works. And then there's the government, what do you think they will do if we start using cars that don't run on gas? They need the tax revenues from gas to pay for "everything ". Where will that money come from. Hey, don't get me started!
