bolts

Post by Big John »

I have tried many different ways of doing bolts. All of them show the same wear after a while, as the pic Woody posted. They way I do it is, I make up a set of bolts, six to be exact. All the same weight and type of wrap or whatever. I use two of those for practice and sighting for speed. Then I put four of the unused one's in a quiver and label the quiver what weight of head and speed to use on scope setting. Don't use them again except for hunting. The two for practice I use over and over until worn out, then re-do them for practice again. I keep four complete custom made Hunting sets in quivers, two aluminium and two carbons, then I have two quivers with two sets of two bolts in each for practice or sighting.

Pydpiper: Thank you, I appreciate the compliment.

I use an Arizona Ezy Fletch and I just screw in a 8/32 bolt to the proper depth. Not sure what the measurement is, but it was a little trial and error at first.
Good idea
