Thank You! Everyone seemed to be missing that.

By the replies it doesn't seem like anyone has ever tried hunting rabbits from a tree stand. Maybe I'll be the first!

I am going to try with the crossbow from the stand but I'll also go out with my dogs and shotgun.

Michigan was full of squirells & I could have shot enough for a family meal.

If you need more, come on up and get them.

That's awesome! Looks like a nice head shot. Did you use a Judo point?

I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. We went out with the dogs and guns on Saturday but came home empty handed. All of our snow is pretty much gone now and my available time has become limited. Maybe next weekend depending on the weather.

I bought some 100g G5 SGH recently for rabbits but have not tried them as yet... they look absolutely lethal !!! With my Vixen I've tried Grasshoppers behind field points and find them very good and generally robust in the conditions here. I have also tried the thumper screw-on blunt and also very effective, maybe a little more knock-down energy?
Where I hunt rabbits is on a riverbed which has a lot of scrub... gorse and broom etc, there are heaps of rabbits, with a .22 its not hard to knock down 20 or more in a couple of hours on a sunny afternoon, they are classed as a pest here in New Zealand and land-owners are responsible for controling the population so is not hard to get access for responsible hunters. Recently I've changed from rifle to Vixen... much more challenging and talleys much smaller !!! The cats love 'em and accasional one on the plate.
