Gander Mt. was offering this so I stopped by one of their stores. They told me I couldn't get my bow done because the 800 degree temps would be too much for my aluminum riser. Are they using a different process?

I saw this process on Bill Jordan's Realtree Outdoors tv show. They dipped all sorts of stuff and I still don't know how it works!

Must be a different process. Either that or the guy in the video has a very high pain thresh hold when he sticks his hand in. :shock:

They contacted me today and said that the finish would not withstand bug spray. Down here, we have skeeter so big that they can stand flat-footed and make love to a turkey :shock: . Did I post that out loud :oops: .


Oh well, I guess I'm going to have the stock refinished and the gun reblued.

Ray do they use an extra full choke and turkey load on skeeters that size :roll:

Do they bake it after the dip or just let it air dry?
