Thank's for the info update Stash. Good info to pass along to the forum.
I have a few orders of PowerBolt's to make yet, have not Re-made any FireBolts yet.

Fuzzy: My point was how will #600 grit make the insert bigger to fit?
Since the opening is already bigger. On another note, I think "thinning" the i.d. of a bolt around the insert area may prove to be a weak point, on contact with bone's or other hard stuff. Thus promoting a crack or splintering around the insert. If done, one must be very careful. :wink:

just going through a search and came across this one bout firebolt I.D....i had an insert come out so i mic'd in on the digi calipers....the outside of the insert is .299 and it looked like very little glue if any maybe in the shaft and it was a tight fit................bob
