We had a young cow moose wandering around the farm near our cottage (north of Bancroft) about 20 years ago. The MNR came and examined her and said she had brainworm (from deer). They had to put her down. Sad really. Looked a lot like this one, skinny, disoriented.. may be worth a call to the MNR.

Yes I really would think that the domestication of this fine animal would be troublesome for its future. Get on the horn with the MNR or Local CO and with any luck they can transport it to a more secluded WMU after a proper evaluation.
