If you would search back a couple years in the posts you would find several posts where some of us forum members were looking for options for a better front sight. Of the limited available options, the Excalibur fiber optic front sight is as good as any of the rest, and better tham most.
If it weren't for often hunting from a pop-up blind I'd not feel disadvantaged with the peep & fiber optic front sight setup, but in the dim light inside a blind the scope is a definate advantage!
