I wish I had better news. He did not return to the bean field last night. I knew the food pattern was iffy. Now whether this is coincidence or the fact that he got my scent leaving the field the first night when he joined the eight, I don't know. But I am pretty sure he has abandoned this bean field.

I will watch tonight but I fear it will be for naught.

Ah the joys of hunting. Time for new strategy. The season starts all over again!

I'm sure you know you deer better than I, but I wouldn't pack my bags just yet:) Did the eight come out last night? Either way you will find him again, then we can all look at the pictures in aww!

Yes, the eight came out right on schedule and from the same trail as when the palmated buck hooked up with him.
