'Bout the same here. Because of our coastal location, we're in the same temperate zone as much of the Deep South.

Could have mowed three weeks ago. Just hate to start!
we could still snowplow here

I have been mowing at least once a week now for the past 6 weeks! Then again, I had to cut the yard christmas eve so the yard would look nice for christmas day. I can almost cut the yard twice a week if I get bored enough.

It's much the same here, Cdup ... if you don't want your yard to look shaggy, you can pretty much mow in every month ... especially if your yard is covered with "volunteer" weeds and grasses.

Mine, having once been a farm field, is cursed with wild garlic (the locals call it wild onion) ... and they grow all winter long.

When you first mow in the spring, the smell is so strong it's almost nauseating.

I refuse to start the mowing too. You can see in the picture, my grass is getting long. That's a large bunny. Probably too large to be good eating. It stayed in the yard all afternoon. It left when I went out and fired up the grill for supper.

BTW Grizz . . . I know that smell all too well. I kind of like it. :D

MAN,... . I envy you southern folk. I would kill to be out on the rider, mowing the lawn, drinking a cold frosty one. Southern Ontario is not as warm as the name implies. We are just the most southern part of a darn cold province. If it were not for family I would be a "Southern man" too!!
Thanks to all for the recipes!!!!
