I thnk it is very imprtant for us
ontario hunters to fill out our hunting reports that the ministry sends us in the mai, and return them , so they can have a better idea of deer populations in our WMU's

You have received the 2009 Deer Hunter Questionnaire and/or the 2009 Moose Hunter Questionnaire in the mail and are asked to submit your completed questionnaire(s) to MNR because you purchased a deer or moose hunting licence and, either, you were randomly selected to respond or you received a Controlled Deer Hunt Validation Tag for which completion of this questionnaire is mandatory.FYI

I submitted my report on line. I hunt coyotes, but have never found a kill in my area. Ray.

Remeber in S. Ontario last year we had a very early snow fall (november) and held snow cover till March. That probably meant higher fawn mortality and fewer births this year. Thankfully this year we did not receive snow of any significance in S. ontario till...well...now so next year hopefully deer numbers should be up.
