Congrats on the doe Scott. I was on the phone with Jay yesterday afternoon when he told me that you had missed a couple with the muzzle loader and that you were on the way back out with his 30-06. I'm glad that you connected. Go get a couple more  .
God Bless !!!!!!!!!

Im gonna have to charge sax a pretty penny for all the tree damage he has caused in my plot. Seems every other tree has a bullet hole in it now.

Way to go, Saxman! :D

Nothing wrong with rifling a deer to death. I've done it scores of times.

I can and do successfully use many hunting tools ... longbows, recurves, compounds, crossbow, caplocks, flintlocks, inlines, shotguns ... but when firearms season comes here, I usually use Ol' Death Wind ... my trusty Ruger .30-'06.

It's more versatile, certain and efficient, plain and simple.

When it comes a certain time of year, after I've arrowed some deer, I recall what a good book I like says:

"To everything there is a season ..."
:P

And I take the rifle out! :D 8)

I put alot of time and work into the muzzleloader because it's all I have
I had to sell my centerfire guns.
Jay has agreed to sell me one of his rifles so I canhave one.
I felt very confidant with the rifle,I'll be doing more of that

Nothing wrong with a ML, if all the scope & rings are tight & powder is new it should work right. If yer shooting sabots thats another can of worms, i missed 3 times last year with my BLK. Dia. with sabots. All shots less than 30 yds. I was p'ed so bad. I have went to conicals in it.
