How do you quieten the arrow retainer?

HI---Hey Boo--could you show us a picture of the heat shrink on the retainer ?
Could you also tell us what the optimum length and diameter of the heat shrink for the best vibration and noise suppression would be. Thank you.

Does the retainer hit the rail after the crossbow is fired? I did something like you did Don, but I put a long section of shrink tubing further up the rail and left the end exposed.(almost as long as the retainer) I figued it was just the vibration that made the noise. But i like your idea better.

may be a dumb question but what do you heat the shrink tubing with?...i have a heat gun, a lighter, a hair dryer,and a torch,,oh or i could tell my wife the truth about her butt,,that should get some heat going hhehehe

I would use a heat gun but not hold it in one place to long.
Avoid the wife idea at all cost!! Just way to risky!!

I guess it does hit the rail but you won't hear it. If you don't have some in the shop let me know Neil.

I just use a lighter.

ok used the lighter..worked just fine..had to take off the scope as i just didnt feel i was heating it all the way around good ..got it back together,,leveled scope .but i dont want to shoot till the loctite sets ,,lookes pretty good on there ,,thanks Boo..Oh and the wife thing..if yall tell her what i said ill deny it till the bitter end..
