:) Just finished the shotgun/muzzleloader season in 80 . From Monday to friday we saw 8 deer total. But on Saturday it is like they started coming out of the woodwork and the number for that day was 7 . Went out Sunday to re-position a couple of stands and we saw two bucks out wandering the field edges . I may be wrong but I feel the rut has not started full tilt YET . :)

RDPress I don't know what area you hunt in but having control of 1200 acres is a definite advantage. What ever you are doing to enhance your populations obviously works but selective harvest only works where there are deer. I live on 85 acres and haven't allowed any harvest for 7 yrs and still my numbers are hugely down. People do hunt the area but very few and not on any of the 200 acres bordering my property.
