I work at a Mold shop and my plan is to put a spot face on the top of the string stopper where the screw comes thru the top then use a longer screw so it sticks out further. Will shorten the stand off a bit so the quiver bracket is at the same hieght when mounted.
Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.

This was my initial thoughts too. Not everyone can do that though. A sander or handfile could also take the top down flat too but would not be quite as pretty as spot facing would be. It would work though. Why did they have to use round stock? LOL!

Another possibility would be to put their STS on the bottom of the riser versus the top. Then put threaded rod on my mounts post and then screw my post through the riser into the STS. The STS looks like it could be mountd on the bottom of the riser and still center the string. Will not know until its released I guess?

There are still a few other mounting possibilities

Will this help to protect the limbs if you have a dry fire?
