He wasn't the biggest in the world, but it's good fresh meat. After sitting out there all day, my back was killing me, my butt was hurting, and I was generally ready to get something, or at least "see" something.

It's a saddle (low spot) in the ridge. Deer naturally cross back and forth through the saddle from one side to the other. It's either go through the saddle, or they've got a pretty good walk to get around the ridge.R.J. wrote:Congrat's ! .... Looks like a great spot !

Well, I think I found a "loophole" that I can use to still keep hunting. 
I had decided that I would get my 2 deer allowed with a regular state-wide tag in KY, one being a buck and the other a doe. I didn't want to shoot too many does down there because the population is still coming back up. Well, since this last one was a button buck, the way I figure it I haven't gotten my doe yet.
Besides, I need to try to get one with the crossbow to enter in Boo's string contest since I forgot to get any pictures of my buck with me and the bow. I've got an extra Boo string at the house and started to be a smart-azz and take a picture of the little button buck while holding the string and enter that, but forgot to take the string with me. It would have been by the rules because Boo didn't say that the string had to actually be "on" the bow, and the bow and string had to be used to get the deer. He just said "string owners".
