Keep at it! Who knows? You might get a chance at one more before the 16th! Our season ends tomorrow night. Doubt I'll get out tomorrow so I'll be living vicariously through those like you who have a longer season! :D

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you had a chance to get one with the new bow! Sounds like you have similar problems and found out the same thing I did.
(I have bone spurs in my shoulder which ended my recurve & longbow hunting)

It's still bowhunting - and it's still fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats Highbow on your sweet harvest. I will have to wait until next year to try my new Vortex out. I know it was an awesome feeling killing a deer that quick with your new crossbow that surely will make your confidence level shoot through the roof with your new crossbow.

I know there are a lot of different crossbows out there but my opinion is Excalibur makes the best.

Good luck the rest of the season

Congratulations. You definitely made the right choice when you bought an Excalibur, this is one of, if not the best forum on the net. If you have questions the knowledge base is huge here and people are willing to try and help you. You made a great kill. Nice story to go along with it. I felt as though I was right there with you.
Thanks,
Raymond

I am shooting the Firebolt shafts and the Boltcutter 150 grain broadheads just as Excalibur recommends , they fly great.

Big Cal58, what do you mean man, I'm in the senior bracket now, still got hair on part of my head , even if it is grey. 28 years of being a lineman and puttin a young man through college all while being married to the same woman for 38 years. YES!
I'm gettin older but I'm going to enjoy every minute I can, hunting, golfing, playing my guitars, working or whatever I can afford to do.
You know I just got back from visiting the 48 year old man that lives in front of us, he is fighting cancer right now. They have given him less than 8 months, he use to hunt, fish and enjoy life. Right now, I guess you can understand why I posted all the above. We never know what tomorrow holds, so live like it's a special moment.
