I'll bet he doesn't own a M'ton. Excal will be 30 yrs old next year, having started in a pig barn in 1983. I was 36 yrs old, and I suspect DM was filling his diapers daily.

Fast forward 22 yrs, about '05, that's when he stole the design. Somewhere along the line, he got dinged for $34K according to a poster on AT.

Also, there's been mention as of late, there are now 17 mfgr's of xbows.

I like all but 2 of them, and Chace Moon is the 2nd, lol. I brought some extra beers to Boofest cause I thought you would be there.

Some tips eh . :)
Check your limbs with cotton batting for splinters .
Check scope mounting screws occasionally . They do come loose . :)
Oil or do something with your trigger BEFORE it freezes on a hunt .
Last one . If you needed warranty at the end of the season . Don`t wait until the day before this hunting season . :?

Good tips so far. Thought I might add that you should inspect your cocking rope before using. It can deal quite a lashing..

Stanley, I don't think you have offended anyone.

Another tip is to occasionally take the string off and turn it over so the latches wear the other side of the serving material

Don't lean your crossbow against the side of a vehicle unattended. The driver may return and accidentally run it over! :D
Now, now, be nice. :D Who said it was an accident?

Great thread Masboy, offers a bit of everything. Wisecracks, low intensity fireworks, Ford-Chevy gibes, excal praises, talk of beer and whisky, and numerous great tips for crossbow hunting. Kind of like a David Allen Coe song. :)

I'm not qualified to offer any technical tips yet, except maybe to watch the excal instructional videos before asking a bunch of questions. :)

I already knew about leaning things agains a truck bumper, and about when your buddy leaves his climbing stand behind the truck on the passenger side in the dark, great tip though. :?
