Well, I think I'm about ready to get my butt wet on Saturday morning.

Been kinda' cash-strapped lately, so I couldn't get all the stuff I needed until last Friday. Got out last night and finished dialing in my scope the rest of the way. After getting back in the house, I took the string off and SOAKED it down with Dalton's and then put a little tougher/harder silicon wax on the serving itself over the top of the Dalton's and put it back on. Got all of my camo washed, changed the batteries in a couple of flashlights, camera, rangefinder. Just got to pack everything up tonight.
Got an email from my brother the other night. He killed a 9-rattle rattlesnake down by the cabin while mowing.

While he and I were trading text messages about it, I asked him again where the picture of the 2 bucks was taken. He said it was taken back in behind the house down there. Still don't know if I fully believe him or not. But we usually get some pictures of some pretty decent deer down there. Actually "getting" the deer is a whole different story though!

If he did get the picture where he said he did, it will be good because the deer usually travel from there over up to where I hunt at.
The weather is really going to put a damper on things though.

They're calling for the rain from Issac to move in tomorrow (Friday afternoon) and stick around on into Monday. The only "good" thing about it is that they're calling for the heavier rain to be up into southern Indiana. Where I hunt at is almost right smack dab in the geographic center of the state. Hopefully I'll be far enough south that we won't get hit too hard with rain down there on Saturday.
