Still one of the best purchases I ever made for the bow. :D Thanks again!

I was using the 125 grain Swhackers. :D They did a good job and I'm happy with what I saw on the the carcass and on the innerds. The only reason the arrow didn't completely pass through is that I hit big leg bone on the opposite side.

It was close but I think Hankenhunter has the honors of the first fall season deer post, but Big58 has the first doe. Just under two weeks to go now for us in MO. Hopefully we won't have a hurricane to deal with on our opening weekend. :D

If you really want to get "technical" about it, mine was on the ground probably before Hank even got up out of bed. But I had the advantage of being in the Eastern time zone and I believe he's probably in the Pacific time zone, 3 hours behind us here.

But it ain't a competition. Just happy that both Hank and I were lucky enough to get out, enjoy everything that the Good Lord created, and put some meat in the freezer. :D

Yeah, hopefully the hurricanes/tropical storms are done and won't mess with anyone elses hunting this year. It finally started raining around here today and has been at it most of the day. Hope the farm has been getting wet as well, so it can wash the blood and my scent away. Either way, I'll be back at it next weekend. Hopefully one of the velvet bucks we've gotten pictures of will pay me a visit.

Good luck to all of you folks who's seasons will be opening soon! :D Until then, you can live vicariously through those of us who are lucky enough to have early openers.

Great job! That's what I call a "fork tender" deer.
