When you switch to a flemish string you'll see a difference in speed. Like a lot of people have said just get used to your crossbow and shoot it a lot.

I'm shooting a 380 gr. arrow at 321 fps. The Slick Trick 100 gr. Mags just blow through a deer. All the Excals are great it doesn't matter which one you buy they all will do their job if you do yours. Good Luck

The Flemish string will definitely give you more speed. I shot mine in and then put the factory string back on the bow till deer season. Or so I thought. I have not swapped back and have a deer down with the factory string. Speed is really overrated. I had to search for the couple of inches of nock and fletching that did not completely bury up in the ground after the double lung shot pass through. I guess if I had had the Flemish string on I might still be looking for that arrow. :lol:
