I had a chance to pick up a couple of the 380's today. Excal went all out with this bow. I love it. I want it. But I can't have it. Yet

They listened to every possible complaint that was holding potential buyer from getting an Excal and addressed every concern all at once rather than dragging it out over a couple of years worth of upgrades. Good work Excal!

Very nice bows. I already have an Exomax with Realtree camo, so I would go for the Matrix 380 Black Out. I looks more "tactical" :D
In http://www.bowhunterssuperstore.com they have them at $1045

Congrats on your new bow John. Can't wait to have a peek at it some time. :)

I shot the 355 and loved it so much I ordered a 380. Always remember, it only takes a dollar more than you make to go first class.

Hey John, you mentioned that you wanted Boo to make you a shorter string. Why a shorter string and what would a shorter string do to poundage? My first impression is it would increase poundage but decrease the power stroke. Would it make it narrower overall too. What would happen if you short string say a Vixen with a three or 4 inch shorter string? What would it do to fps, noise and etc.? Just wondering.

Using a string of the wrong length, either shorter or longer will cause numerous performance problems, not to mention being dangerous. It's important that the brace height be within a specific range.

By shorter string, John means one that is 30" long and will fit the Matix, as opposed to the current 35 3/4" ones that Boo makes, which fit all the previous Excaliburs models.
