I'm thinking that broadhead weight depends on the overall arrow weight and FOC one wants to achieve. Shooting GT Laz II with 110 gr brass insert and Blazers gets me an arrow that weighs @400 grs with 100 gr Slicks (std or mag), with 18.5% FOC. These fly like guided missiles from my Phoenix and Vortex with great terminal performance. (Using my own Flemish strings they chron 300 and 317 respectively).
I simply up the tip weight to 125 grs for my 360 fps compound crossbow for 425 grs and 20.0 FOC; gets me comparable accuracy and performance.
I favor medium/lightweight arrows but if increased weight were a consideration I guess the heavier Slicks would be the way to go.
