I had noticed they had unscented pads that you could clip to the front of the thing on their website. Doesn't sound like a bad idea
I saw those too, you put your favorite attractant on it and your off to the races. Anyone ever try this ?????
You could also save a few of the used pads and use those for your attractant. Therms cell is a must have for the early season. Make sure to stock up on refills as they get scarce during the season.

I have 5 of them and I use them religiously. I even use 1 in the garden while working in the garden. They're a must to keep the skeeters away. I killed a nice 12 point 4 years ago in full velvet while using a thermacell and been using them ever since. Good Luck and happy hunting

I recieved one earlier this year as part of a OFAH membership kit.I was sceptical but ttook it along on a an evening turkey hunt for test.Skidders were absolutely killing me on my walk in to my spot. When I got settled I fired the thermacell up and to my amazment after a few minutes I was no longer getting eaten alive.Works as advertized and I will not be with out it from now on.

I had no idea something like this existed. Do you have the 3D one? How hot is it?
Not hot at all thin like a skin ,between the suit and the thermacell there is not a bug alive thats going to eat my blood .
I take my thermacell out when i am at the range fire that puppy up the skeeters fly by but dont come in for a landing lol........

You all have provided me with some excellent ideas and I think I will be quite happy with the Thermacell when it finally gets here.
I have been waiting on it so I can get out and re-position my cam and stand.
I might just have to pick up one of those bug suits as well. Seems they work well as a bug guard and camo.

Do they work? Haven't stepped in the woods or swamp the past 5 years without one.

I am absolutely impressed with the Thermacell unit and I must admit that I had my doubts at first. As long as the Mosquitoes are out I will NOT be without my Thermacell when hunting. Be sure and get the refill pack so that you can recharge your unit.
I started using mine on the first day of season. I think the deer can smell it.
I was on a main travel route and had a doe and a nice buck intentionally detour my stand location when I had it on. They were both in thick brush and I wasn't visible. I also washed all my clothes recently, sprayed with scent killer, and took a scent killer shower. It's the only thing I can think that would have pushed them around me. It works for the skeeters but you can definitely smell it. If I can smell it, I know the deer can smell it.
