I'm afraid that your making a rash and hasty decision. This just happened and now your are wanting to trash the whole thing before you even know what happened or what may have caused it. Excalibur has a the best warranty department of any of the crossbow manufacturers in the US or Canada. If you would have given Danny Miller a call he could have had you up and running again by the end of the week. Your loss!

Sorry...my bad!

Metro...welcome and Please reconsider your decision! Excal is a good, honest company and they make a very good product. Trust me...I've been shooting them for several years.

After looking at these pictures closely, I'd say that you had a partial dry fire, probably caused by not having the arrow firmly seated against the string. The string slide past the end of the arrow and damaged the arrow and still sent it part way to it's intended destination. Now the other thing is that you have nearly no twist in your string which has probably caused the serving to basically slip to the left side. I know that's a long way to slip, but with no twist in it...there's nothing to stop it from sliding over. Without being able to see the limbs closer, I can't tell if what was suggested earlier that the limb may have cracked or not and caused the serving to be so far to one side. Just my observations.

Well, I have cocked this thing over and over slowly, evenly and deliberately and it consistently cocks off center to the left. I don't trust these limbs and don't have time to send it to Canada and wait for a fix or replacement. I have a hunt in 2 weeks.

I do realize no company is perfect and it may just be my dumb azz luck to get a lemon if that is what it is but like I said I don't have time to deal with this fiasco. Like I said I can go buy one of the shelf tomorrow and who knows I may even bump up. I noticed another model with the variable distance scope to adjust for arrow speed if I decide to get another Excalibur.

Metro....you don't have to send it to Canada. Danny Miller is just down in Ohio. Basically 2 days to get to him and 2 days back. He does the warranty here in the states.

Your decision my friend. Don't hesitate to give Excal another chance. They'll do right by you. Can't 100% say what the issue was with your Axiom, but obviously there was a series of things that caused your problem.

All the best!

The bolt blasted through half inch OSB board at 16 yards. I'm pretty sure it was fully seated on the string. Plus the damage to the vane was on the front of the vane from the bolt scraping against the frame as it shot out not string blowing by the vane.

You have experienced a common 'problem'. The string isn't served right but will work til you get another.

If you have a 'bad taste' spit a few times....... the string pic is way out of focus, can't tell for sure which string you have.

Whatever trips your trigger, bud!

Edited to add: Got a brand new Excel I'll donate to ya, pm me an addy

If they refused to repair it, I could understand being put off, but I would say at the very least give them a chance to right the wrong, if I fact there is one. I have yet to hear of anyone not receiving excellent attention and resolve to any issue with Excalibur products, including self induced, which really isn't their responsibility.

It read as if a limb maybe damaged IMO.
