That is a wind-icator. It tells you when the wind is blowing and what direction!!! I use the same thing on my IBEX and my re-curve but I tie on some cul-de-canard. It is a very super lite feather used in fly tying.

Thats a good idea. ! It's hard to play the wind where I'm at, with all the ridges and hollows it swirls and changes directions constantly. Might have to give that a try.

I wrapped mine with a braid of paracord then found the fletching wouldn't clear it. Took it back off.
Whatever you try to put on it be sure to check to make sure arrows will clear.

Same here, so I re did mine and left a space for the vane to pass.
