Dan Miller Leupold Crossbones quoted price is $239.00. Best I found anywhere. Dan convinced me the VX-1 fulfilled my needs better.

Even on the Leopold site , it lists the VX1
-2-7 at $264.00 and the Crossbones at $349
I'm trying to figure out how to get 2 Crossbones for the price of 1 VX1 ??? :?
Again, the Crossbones gives you all the proper hash marks at the proper distances out to 60 yds. no guess work. The VX1 is a totally different operation where you use one crosshair as a certain distance, then basically guess the rest. It is ok for hunting at a regular distance, but not for exact 3D or precise shooting at outer distances, or even inbetween. It only has a clearer view on the lens, less marks to see. And a heavier lineage. Remember this is one of those "to each his own" scenarios. But don't get fooled by pricing. Only use your eyes and decide what you need, then buy.

I thought the Crossbones was the only crossbow scope made by Leupold.

I figured you were misled. No problem.
As well Danny said that price list was old and it is not the Crossbones.
Just need to check before post, otherwise people come on here and question.
It's all good. :)

Leupold also makes a Rifleman 2 x7 x33 scope that can be had for 185.79 at midsouthshooter supply . This would work great on a xbow !

Guys that like the quick point of dead centre and don't shoot much past 30 will always prefer the rifle scope reticle over the crossbow reticle. Everyone is different in that matter, but for those that shoot farther you can't beat the Cross Bones unless you want to spend big $$$$ on high end tacticle or ACOG.

I was really lucky and the store I bought my Matrix from swapped out the Excal scope and gave me the Cross BOnes for $90.00 surcharge that I was thrilled to pay - save me ending up with you know what.

Now if you want the option of lighted reticle - the ultimate is a Streamlight laser/light combo on a tacticle rail mounted into holes for excal quiver (munch mount quiver up top). This is ultimate hawg riggin for Texas. Take it off before you come home - kinda frown on lasers up here.
