I have been trying what I have learned from hogs
Scent control ?
Wind direction ?
Blind placement?
Stand placement ?
Opening day is in less then 2 weeks
I have spent a few days sitting in my blind and a couple of stands to see reaction of deer
1.) Scent control dirt scented wafers in blind has worked.
Hanging them low on stand has had good results
2.) Area has fire lanes and gas pipelines
Wind has a strange way of changing so I have put stands and blinds deeper
off these then normal
3.) Same as above just make sure to brush in well ( brush from area around blind
so it will blend in
I have always walked in to stand or blind. On public land I would always get stand far off path ways
To give you an idea of how this has worked so far here for me Friday I sat in my blind for about 3 hours had a doe and her 2 fawns with in 20yrds.
No Excuses!
