Don,
Never had a bluff charge yet in the 33 moose I've seen taken in our camp. Only ever had one (logies first one with us) that had to be arrowed again- one lunged).
We call them as soon as we arrow them and most don't go far. Wing's made it 30 yards tops, and the other two about 100-150 at most. If guys can keep their wits about them we call them right in, few guys lose it when 1000lb bull inside of 10 yards. If you can keep it together the target is big! Remember one guy saying he was lucky as all he could see in scope was brown hair!

People say the 30-30 has taken the most deer. If I had to guess which Excalibur had taken the most moose, I'd bet on those exomags.

You guys who have never shot or hunted moose, you cannot believe how close the encounters get if the wind is right! Needless to say, it gets real exciting, real quick!

September sex we call it, nothing gets a mans heart beating faster than a bull moose inside 10 yards. Couple of times I'd swear the moose heard my heart beating. On my first archery moose hunt (many moons ago) I had a bull coming in from mile or more away. He grunted every step and took 30 mins plus to reach my tree, when he was 100 yards or so out I took my safety belt off and strapped my left leg to tree, the only way I figured I could get it to stop shaking violently! Moose madness it is, can't seem to get it out of my blood.
