Glad you weren't hurt.I did the same last week but luckily my foot was not far into the stirip.Ended up forcing the Dead ringer mechanical into the dirt.

I remember one interview of a pilot who had landed gear up giving as an excuse, "it was that blasted horn going off" (the gear not down warning when power is reduced/and being below a certain airspeed) that distracted him; causing him to forget to put it down. That top of foot pressure is an easier way to learn.
Glad you're ok.

...totally understand the pilot analolgy...you bring back thoughts of my teenage years as a pilot. Fortunately for me I flew a Cessna 150/172 with FIXED landing gear!   ....but yes, I don't think I will be decocking with an arrow in it again any time soon!

I am so glad you are OK.

When I had my Equinox the 20" broadhead tipped arrow isn't inside the stirup, so this could have easily happened.

I knew I wanted to stay with 18" arrows for my Matrix 355. If I make the mistake I will quickly notice when I my boot kicks the arrow aside with my foot entering the stirup.

Glad your foot is OK Anthony! I did the same thing when I first got my Exomag, fortunately it was just a field point and I was able to recock it, so no damage was done other than a bruised foot and hurt pride  I bet you won't do it again!

Whoa! That could have got ugly real fast. Glad you didn't get hurt. My arrows are long enough that my foot won't go in the stirrup with an arrow loaded. :)
