C'mon Angelo!
Ya ,blackpowder a lil different in effect. Less bloodshot meat usually but depending on bullet and charge it can be like stabbin a hole through one and not a dramatic stomp. You all are knockin em down for sure though..

....well it looks like I am gonna owe my brother in law (Angelo) a big apology...he is out with my nephew (who is bear hunting) and my uncle Phil...they are out during the 6 day NJ buck only shotgun season...which coincides with bear hunting...
...for those of you who have read some of my earlier postings...my brother-in-law likes to climb the mountains up to about three steps below heaven...apparently a lot of people were in the woods today and the word I get is he shot either a 6 or 8....well apparently that's where the deer are today....
....he can't even come down from the stand because there are about 12 deer bedded down between them....
.....will fill you in later....it's all about fun and I have learned to like the taste of "crow!"

When I used to hunt the Walpack ( the Forest Motel was my home for the first two weeks every year in November after Whitman allowed permit bow in zone 4. I still remember being charged $30.00 a night for the two weeks.) area all the guys from out of state would like to hunt the bottoms along the Flat Brook or the Delaware where the state would plant the corn fields.. I always climbed up the top of the mountain and the bottom hunters would always push them up in the morning and I usually tagged out in the morning and was sitting in the Layton store having a bowl of Pea soup my 10:00 am. Good times in a great part of the state..
