i hunted yesterday and noticed that the boltcutter on my 16.5" quill with lumenok was snagging on the blind rug; it just peeks out a skosh beyond the dr stirrup. when i go to tweaking my arrows for my 335, i will go with 16" to keep the broadhead inside the stirrup.

Thanks all for the replies. If I was to cut down my arrows what is the best way to remove the insert?
Unless you want to change insert weight, it would be more practical to cut the fletchings off and shorten by cutting the rear end. Fletchings are cheaper and you can put a high helical on the arrow.
