I would start at 20 yds

Your very first shot should be around 10 yards to make sure nothing goofy is going on, scope way off for some reason, rings too tall, or short, etc. One shot within a few inches of your aim point, and go to 20 yards to start zeroing the scope out to a dime sized POI.
