WOW!! Massive mass, and another high tined KY buck!! Congrats!! 8)

One of my neighbors and his son go to KY each Fall and bag some nice rack bucks.
Rack deer everywhere they say. Must be all them akerns (acorns).

Nothing for my big bro and I this opening rifle weekend on the back 140, but we managed to see 12 deer, 3 moose, 1 coyote, and a fisher.

Back at it in the AM.

Gametrail,

The ankle is still a little swollen and sores up on me if I walk a lot on it.

Not enough to keep me out of the deer woods.:D

There is a rumor going around about a 200+ buck killed in Noble county Indiana. Have you heard anything about it?

schnarrfuss,

I hunt with a Remington 870 SP. It has a fully rifled barrel that has a cantilever on it. On that is mounted a fixed 4 power scope.

I shoot Lightfield Hybreds slugs.

For turkey season I just swap barrels. That barrel has Remchokes and has a "turkey full" choke in it. It also has a scope. It is a fixed 2 power called Simmons Pro-Diamond.

All my hunting tools except a coupld of pistols are scoped. Old eyes...

WW. I hunt with a Rem. 870 Super Magnum with a fully rifled slug barrel and on top of it is a 1.5-4 power Bushnell Trophy. This year I used Win. Platinum Tip slugs. Come turkey season, I just switch barrels. Good hunting!
