hey everyone, what is wrong with using the slick trick for turkey? Will they perform okay?

Speedball/Tom,

Both the NAP Spitfire XP PRO and NAP Scorpion XP are cut-on-contact mechanicals.

I haven't used either, only the NAP Spitfire, and agree that some sort of arrow arrester is required for turkey hunting. I found a rubber grommet at a local hardware store....it works great!

As far as the blade retention tab, i read somewhere that it should be replaced after 5 shots.

I would like to try these http://www.arrow-dynamic-solutions.com/ but I dont believe the blades will clear the stirup. They also have a new broadhead called the Atom. Neat website.

Digger, how do you target shoot with those wires behind the slicks without damaging them. Looks like a great setup. I was thinking of the same thing or trying the Spitfires for turkeys. Have you had good success with this setup?

I dont shoot targets with that set up. I've gotten two toms with that set up with my Vixen and never got a pass thru.

I HAVE HAD GREAT SUCCESS WITH ROCKY MOUNTAIN "GATORS".THEY ARE STRONG AND HAVE 2" CUTTING DIAMITER.LEAVE LOTS OF BLOOD AND BIG HOLES.NO ORINGS.FLY PERFECT!
