OLD BUCKS, YOUNG BUCKS, IN-BETWEEN BUCKS - How Old Are You?
Moderator: Excalibur Marketing Dude
Well I am 47, retired from the USAF in 2002. Hunted when I was a kid but did not do much during the 22 years in the Air Force. Just did not seem to have the time.
Now I am deer hunting nearly everyday. I am still learning but I have shot one doe this year. Highlight of this years season will be this week when I take my 10 year old son out with his new vixen.

Born in Feb 1940--do the math.
My uncle gave me my first 22 when I was about 13.I still have it. He let me take it home when I was 16. I shot a lot of tin cans and a few squirrels in the mean time.
I did a lot of hunting, mainly for varmits, until I was in my early 20,s then got into family things and couldn't afford the luxury of hunting supplies. My youngest son got me back into hunting about 20 years ago--Thanks Pete.
I now live in a rural area and own 106 acres of pretty good hunting land. Pete got an 8 pointer last Mon, morning on the opening day of the shotgun season. I saw a nice buck and 2 does on Tuesday.Tracked them for a mile then they crossed onto an area that I don't have permission to hunt.
Hope to continue enjoying the outdoors and hunting for many years to come.
I bought a 20 gauge slugster a few years back and it is slated to go to my middle grandson when he is 12 in a few years. I hope to get in a many hunts with him and his dad(Pete) and with his younger brother in the future.
Hunting keeps the kids off the streets--I know it did for me and Pete.

If you are still alive your mission here on Earth must not be completed.

I'm also a 41 model. 65 years young. I'm in better shape now than any other time in my life. I hunt or fish nearly everyday. I bought a Phoenix this past fall and took two deer so far. I'm heading out after lunch and see if I can score on a third. Retirement is great, I don't have time to work.

22 here, if I recall I was 8 when my dad started taking me shooting with the 22. First rabbit shot off a Steven 16 gauge from 1923 I do believe, I still have that gun. Got my first turkey 2 years ago and my first deer that was not hit first this year, only 7 years better than my Dads 12 years for his first.
