When my brother was 15, he was diagnosed with kidney disease and was on dialysis. My Mom gave him one of her kidneys in the first bedside kidney transplant at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. We were all able to return to a normal life.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, the donor, and both your families.
