is there a difference between 452,and 452x string material. And you know boo i too will have to get one of them special boo strings,JIM

I missed that Jim, it is properly called 452X. BCY does not offer a 452.

At this time I shoot the Flemish but plan on a Sweet BOO with STS. I hope to get into Animal Control as Pydpiper but not the same scale as I have more rural in my area but more farm nusiance control. Muskrat, beaver, raccoons.

I used excal's FFF until I joined the forum, then found out about Boo's and wont look back.

There's no set number of strands. A thicker string gives you more potential accuracy, less noise, less speed and a serving that separates easier. There is a "happy' medium which I believe is 40 strands.
