R.J.,

Great pics as always. Nice looking doe. Nicer looking buck, good luck getting him.

How far do you think the doe traveled after the hit?

nice job on the doe rick.......when will the summer sausage be at work?

I am off this week...hunting birds this morning (17 fewer pesky ducks flying around), and will hunt for my first xbow deer the rest of the week.
Maybe even wet the lines one day....Heaven!!!

Congrats again....

That BH looked like it caught a bit of shoulder blade?? How'd it do?
It was a 130 grain Wasp broad head ... I can't confirm the condition of the broadhead because I didn't notice that it came off when I pulled it from the ground , so I didn't recover it .

It was a complete pass thru , shoulder bone and all ...

After pass thru , she actually bolted down the trail towrds me , directly under my stand location and out into a clover field ... she ran funny in a tight circle while the other doe ran with her ... I was sure she went down , but when I last saw her she was just out of sight due to some leaf covered tree branches ... I figured she had expired but waited till dark to be sure .

All total she ran approx 100 yards ( the last 50 she was pretty well dead on her feet ) ... filed dressing comfrimed double lung with body cavity , throat and mouth full of blood ... the whole thing lasted maybe 30 seconds .
