Yet another case for letting a shop set up your first anything. If it won't go together and you have to have somebody else tell you to try a tap or check hole alignment I would suggest letting somebody else "check" the rest of your handy work before
shooting the bow. Assembly is not for everyone and will require a level of skill in relation to what is being assembled. Something that can create deadly force requires a somewhat higher level. That is why they don't let bicycle mechanics work on airplanes. Bicycles fall a lot shorter distance when they come apart then planes.

You bought a great bow from a wonderful company. If you are not happy, then you are also entitled to say so.
Excaliburs customer relations is second to none in the world of product, before and after a sale, and I am sure your feedback is welcomed.
Do not be bullied on this forum to speak your mind about your purchase, you put down top dollar for a top notch bow, and your opinion is as important as anyone elses. It is feedback like yours that helps a company fix these issues, even if they seem insignificant to others. Not everyone is capable of whipping out a tap and die set and fixing things, and for what you paid, you shouldn't be expected to.
Sometimes it isn't about "screw holes" or "blemishes" that make a person take notice, it is about the taste it leaves in your mouth when the deal is done.
Your issue is fixable, and your complaint is valid, and more importantly, they WILL look after you.
It will all work out in the end, just stick with it and be assured that Excalibur has your best interest at heart.

Its not that people are bullying him But Im sure he or she has been on this forum or visiting at the least so time after time after time he has seen proof that it would all come out ok with Excaliburs service and to try and throw the company under the bus for something that simple is the point I bought a 380 and if I had any problems I would call dealer then call Excal then if nothin happens call the bus driver Just Sayin

I agree, to an extent.
Excalibur is going to get feedback in one of two ways, one is by their dealers, the other is from a less biased voice, a consumer.
Excalibur didn't get thrown under the bus, they were provided with uncensored feedback from a consumer.
In the end, it will be the consumers voice that helps them see the problems, from a users perspective. Trying to mask that complaint by telling him he should not voice his opinion here is not doing the company justice, nor the consumer.
It is OK to be candid here, it isn't going to sink the Excalibur ship, it will only provide them with real world issues, so the product can continue to improve.
That is the best for both the manufacturer and the consumer.
Excalibur is not a fragile company, negative feedback is a tool to make changes, similar to positive feedback.
If you are not willing to learn, nobody can help you, if you are willing, nobody can stop you.

You make alot of sense too and I agree with your point No hard feelins for you or him I have and will continue to use and learn from everything I can absorb from this forum It is a treasure trove of knowledge and wealthof info so shoot on and best to you both :D

If the problem has not already been solved please call me at 800-463-1817 ext. 210 and we will look after it. As mentioned, the knot in the string is normal. The new quiver bracket is made of glass filled nylon and they tend to shrink a little when molded making the screw heads close to the side. If you keep the screw straight when twisting it the screw will typically thread in, it may be a tad tight but it will work.

It's an Excalibur forum, therefore, one would think that any topic related to an Excalibur product would be welcomed rather than belittled. No product is perfect and discussion of minor issues such as this is a good thing because if it has happened to one person there is a very high chance it has happened to others.

It was very well put. And I can agree with that point

However.. It seems: For a lot of first time posters it appears that when they air a gripe like this it is to slam the company, or in some cases create a fuss on the forum in order to get their problem fixed quicker. For some folks it's: "the louder I scream the faster things get done"

To say "matrix, not top quality" because of an issue with one screw and his misunderstanding of a serving, is a little far fetched.

You are one of a hand full that I have seen posting on this site, with any common sense! One guy will try to give someone a hard way to go for posting a negative and then everyone jumps in like sheep to make themselves feel like they fit in.
Perfect point JPjunkie jumped on the OP for posting, then you post and beings you have many post and been around he starts to cower. Then another guy says something to feed back into his point and he is back on the bandwagon. It is really quite amusing to read!

I didnt jump on anybody if I did I would have told him to take it back to the dealer and give it to someone standing in line to get the best crossbow money can buy Now can we move on he doesnt like that the screw didnt fit :lol:
