I sure would like to see my son shoot one similiar to this, or any deer to be honest with you all, this being his first season he wants to hunt.

I let a few walk that I wanted to "GIVE A FEW MORE YEARS" only to have somebody else tag them the same season. Depends on the area you hunt for sure. The only reason I would not shoot him would be if there was a nice doe in range .I hunt meat first . I would love to see my son shoot him for the memories but he is 9yr old. And Buck jerky ain't that bad :mrgreen:

Considering the picture was taken in July . He has had more time to bulk up in the body and gain alittle more mass on the antlers .
If he lived in the Midwest or Canadian prairies . No probably not . If you had paid for a trophy hunt .
