The 405 would be an awesome hunting machine, but the 380 is almost as good and would be a little easier to cock all afternoon practicing if you want to do both.

The 355 with the same weight arrow in your Parker is going to be about the same speed wise with hunting weight arrows. The 380 will be aig jump up, and if I was going to nbe much shooting it would be my choice. But if all I wanted was full out hunting rig, and forget the off season shooting, 405 would be where I put my money. But I wouldn't buy it if I planned on doing much experimenting or practice shooting, thats where the 380 shines in both categories, hunter, and plinker,,, JMO I own 2 380's, and just added a Micro,,,, the Micro is starting grow on me,,,sweet rig!!
