That's what I see, the riser looks off square. Try what he said, just loosen it enough to make sure it is lined up snug in the channel. They should match up solid if they're lined up.robertyb wrote:I your first post you said the head and limbs. I guess you mean the riser and limbs by that. I blew up the pictures and it looks like the riser is not matching up correctly with the barrel. Pull the riser off and reinstall it being careful to match it up and see if that is not causing your problem.

Yeah I'm not touching a thing Peter is sending me new limbs. Hopefully this will correct the situation my old riser and limbs lined up perfectly. Just bad luck I guess!

Re: String alignment
The riser only fits that way there is 2 tabs on the back and it aligns itself thats what I thought at first it can't be changed. Thanks appreciate the help.

Good call.
If that doesn't solve it, send the whole thing back to Excal to work on.
Good luck!!

It seems you've got a handle on it and Peter is more than fair to deal with. Just an FWI, even though there are two tabs in the riser that fit into the mainframe it's still possible to be misaligned. For the small effort it takes I'd loosen the riser to mainframe fasteners and wiggle the riser to ensure perfect alignment to the mainframe. You'll be able to feel the difference in alignment as you do this and it's just a good habit to have in checking your equipment.

Since string has downward pressure, sometimes it is easier to tell if properly seated if bow is unstrung.just a thoughtpaulaboutform wrote:It seems you've got a handle on it and Peter is more than fair to deal with. I would not have made the suggestion that you try it if I did not know that it could work. The picture you took clearly shows the riser is offset to the left side.
