I'm sorry I started this one.

Here I'm wanting people to be careful riding these things and it turns into a full scale whizzin match..

Ahh, now we're getting to the real ATV mentality. "You touch my motor sicle, ah'll blow yer dern haid off... " The quebecois has spoken
"When you find yoursef in a hole, it's usually a good idea to stop digging."

brayhaven, I'm not saying I would shoot you!  But someone else could...especially these infamous poachers of yours.

If you are going to come on here and crow about your "stunts" and expect others to just lay low after your first post, then I know who the idiot is around here. Your generalisations about ATV's, ATV users, and quebecois, etc. demonstrate to all your own narrow mindedness and limited ability to appreciate things that you have yet to experience.

All that said, I'm glad you have given us the full picture of your doings. We can now better appreciate your first post that left quite a few of us wondering about you and your actions. It's made it somewhat more understandable...still darn stupid, but understandable.

You may have a dispute with L.W. that is o.k!
Take it to the backroom as requested, before you make any more insulting comments about Canadians!
We have won our fair share of courageous battles, and being as intelligent as you are, I am sure you know what I am saying!
Take it outside!

I have grown to hate ATVs since our newest neighbor moved in. His kids destroyed over $2K worth of blue and Norway spruce trees in our field with their ATVs. I took him to court and won a judgment, but he refused to pay, so I placed spike strips in my field. Let's say that put an end to the ATV problem. IMHO, the ATV problem has gotten out of hand. People are no longer respecting property rights

Marmot the problem is your neighbors, not the machines. You might as well say that crossbow users are poachers! Sound familiar? 100 years ago, your neighbors would have been running their horses through your prized spruce. Would you have blamed the darn horses? C'mon.

man ive been missin this...what a frickin laugh....pissed at ATVs because there in the beautiful wilderness so what do you do....push them over the edge and trash the woods with steel parts, gas, oil, grease, plastic, ect. yea I read it---> you feel guilty now for polluting (weak plea for forgivness)...If your gonna lower yourself to their level why not just disable the ATVs and let them figure out how to get them home! That would have been great punishment,,, that would have been a pain for them tryin to get them home pushin them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what an idea!!!!!!!do you think when they walked up they decided to pick up the pieces? doubt it...If you hadnt done that they would have left and took the steel  demons with them  but no you had to make it worse and trash the woods with what you hated, boy you showed them good job !

No Hoss, then they would have repaired them & been back out there on them illegally harrassing the elk, poaching, etc. When we reported them at the check station, the officer said they knew who they were and had been trying to make a case for some time. They had found bear carcasses & elk killed out of season etc. We deprived them of the dirt bikes. I hope there wasn't a servicable part left on them. Do you really think I hate the machines? Not very perceptive are we?? By trashing the machines, we punished the perps in the only sure way available and denied them the tools they were using. You folks have more sympathy for the poachers than for the game here. Typical. You probably feel the same for the poor persecuted terrorists. I don't know why I bother to reply to this nonsense :). You ATV junkies, all puffed up with keyboard bravado. Which is, of course, hurling insults across the web that you don't have the balls to say to someone's face  The hunters of this country spoke in a survey I saw a few years ago. Of 20K or so polled, something like 83% did NOT want them in the hunting woods. So the vast majority agrees with me :o). From the support I've gotten on e-mail & PM's from this thread, a majority here feel the same. They just don't want to get in a war of words with a few rabid ATV'ers. If I can't defend myself against these few, I may as well just fall on my sword  . So, go ahead & pile on.... Anyone else care to fire off a personal insult, because someone holds a differing opinion from yours ?? Go for it :D

As should ALL those involved in this conversation. I think they/we are just getting testy & irritable; waiting so long for hunting season.
