Shoot for the Cure
Re: Shoot for the Cure
Do you kno wthe bowshop crowd at all? Think of a regualr shooter with long hair. He is going to put up more of a fight than the last victim. In fact the fellow that raised the 3000.00, did on a starting pledge of 1.00 dollar and it grew into 3000.00. I would be that if SG (gave you a little hint there) agreed to have his cut, he could make 5000.00$.

Considering that same gentleman, after the other gentleman had his head shaved, stated: "he has much bigger balls than I do", it's going to take quite a bit of convincing.DesertRat wrote:Do you kno wthe bowshop crowd at all? Short is where it's at! get up, wash it and walk away! 3/4 of an inch of hair and I fell like a hippy!

Re: Shoot for the Cure
DirtyGun, my hat's of to you for your passion to help your fellow man / woman. There are so many that suffer from this horrible disease but there are many survivors. With the help from folks like you, maybe they'll find a cure someday. Again, your dedication for this cause means a lot to us. I know that there were other's from the forum that participated in this event and you should be proud of yourselves as wellDirtyGun wrote:From the barber's chair I went right home and got out the razor. Back in my chemo days I of course had the clumps fall out so I decided to shave it "to the bark" like yours. The following night was agony as a lay my head on my pillow, it felt like I was being stabbed with millions of tiny needles. So I followed up with duct tape to achieve the chrome dome look![]()
She understands how near and dear to my heart this cause is, though, so she doesn't mind it in that respect.
God Bless !!!!!!!!!

Well, I have reason to be dedicated to this cause. I was surprised that there weren't more statements on the 'who are you shooting for?' banner. But, that's a good thing if people were just shooting to help and not because they or a family member had been affected.
That all being said, my mother has been called back for a mammogram review in mid February. This is all routine due to family history (if one little abnormality or change is seen, a recall is done), but it makes us jump a little whenever it happens.
