I think I will do just that "flightattendant100". I'll start adding bit by bit. As for now (today) I'm heading to Bass Pro to p/u flemish string and whiskers....plus a stringer...dealer did'nt have any in stock.
Btw, I purchased my Excalibur at The Wolfs Den in Utopia(Essa) Ontario if anyone is familliar with this shop.
I almost forgot to mention too. The bolts(Gold Tip LaserII) came with 100gr fd tips an I switched them up for 125gr as according to the Gold tip website 125gr is as heavy as I can go w/these bolts.

So today I installed the S5 and some Limbsavers (limbs). Next pay day will be some string leeches to accompany the whiskers I already added and that should about do it.
I also had to re-loctite all the scope mount screws so hopefully with the addition of these new items the vibration will be tamed enough to prevent this.

X2! I shoot naked. I've taken everything off my bow except for the quiver mount. I find that after a few shots I don't notice the noise much anymore and I know that by shooting naked I'm picking up a few FPS.

Monica you can get away with it, and perhaps if I tried when I was younger I'd to be swarmed by all the neighbouring chixs.

However, now that I'm no longer the Italian stallion of yesteryear, I expect that they'd call the cop and I'd be charged with indecented exposure. :shock:

Sorry Moni, I just couldn't resist :wink: :lol:

I forgot to add a butt extension as the "length of pull" is just a bit short.
As for shooting naked, whatever works for you :lol:

Huntsman this has been the best limb suppressor I have use to date is TunerZ . They strap on to the limb which allows you to find the sweet spot and to take them off if not needed . You could add them to a quiver or what ever you need to quiet down. Here is a link;

I've found that using a custom Boo String with cat whiskers goes a long way in both reducing the noise and vibration of any Excalibur crossbow. Besides the quality of the string alone is worth the investment.

Going back to the original post the Excalibur may have been the loudest but what is the point :?: all of the other bows are going to be heard by a deer in range of a cross bow no cross bow is so quiet a deer will not hear it .
I would advise you do not worry about noise do nothing about it I recommend a S5 string stopper for dry fire protection and quicker sight recovery from vibration but it does little in the noise reduction area this is my opinion and what I have done.
