Thanks guys. I didn't know that about Nikon, since I have never owned one.

Apparently there were a couple that slipped through the quality control, but my guess is that you are going to be pleasantly surprised

No problem at all here with my Tach scope that came on my 355. After reading this thread I went back and compared it to my Hawke lighted site and my Shadowzone. IMO you have a scope issue that needs addressing. Cheers

There's no doubt that the scope is more alignment critical than the other Excalibur scopes but I have no issues. I look at it like a shotgun. If you shoulder it and train your brain to put it in the right spot every time it works just fine. Other than that I think they are as clear as a bell!
I haven't used mine much but to use an expression my comment at this time is, "not bad". It's not a VXIII but it's good scope considering it's part of a package. So far I think it's better than the Varizone. But scope choices are pretty personal and I have to try to use this to use the scope in varying situations to really decide if I'm going to use the Tach-Zone for hunting. So far it looks possible.

I have used a few Sightron scopes. The S1 and SII are pretty good cheap scopes. Never had a problem with either, and they are made in the Phillipines.A Nikon Prostaff I had was made in Phillipines, and it wasnt too bad either.Got one of the Redfield Revenge Crossbow scopes and its Phillipines as well.It is good and clear and bright but the yardage hash marks in the reticle are evidently just "randomly placed".My exomax is low at 50 if you use the 60 yrd. crosshair, and there isnt a way to adjust it Like a Vari-Zone I dont believe. All are OK but dont compare to the Leupolds I hunt with.

I have watched my son (a police officer) shooting his AR with a scope similar to my tach zone and I observed that he carried the gun in a a vertical position with his left hand holding the forward pistol grip, his right on the trigger grip snug against his body just about breast level. To shoot he raises the gun vertically by easing the tip of the stock to rest nearly on top of his shoulder. This position makes it easier to move the scope to the eye first instead of the shoulder first. Since my 355 is so short I tried bringing it to my face first, sight, then adjust the stock with the point high on my shoulder. By doing this my eye centers itself in the tach scope much easier than shouldering first, sighting next. I put a forward grip on me 355 and have been shooting it "tach" style. This makes the bow seem even smaller and lighter and is a hoot to shoot that way. I am on point solid and ready to shoot much quicker. Cheek and scope first , shoulder second instead of vice versa. Cheers

I wouldn't mind having a Tact-Zone Scope on my Equinox. I handled the Matrix series and I like the scope. I would love to have the Matrix but will make due with my Equinox.
Thanks,
Raymond

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that guys who wing shoot will have less issues. I think if you are having troubles practice with it, train the brain. Keep your eyes on the target and train your brain to put the scope in the right place when you mount the bow. I'm sure if you do this enough it will work.
When I get a new shotgun rather than have it fitted I do the above until I get the right picture everytime. Works for me!

Just bought a matrix 380 with the tact zone scope with a "fish eye" effect, yes I can find a clear picture if I keep moving your head around, but I shouldn't have to hunt for a clear picture. It is weird and definitely not right. The matrix fetches a premium price and should not be shipped with a defective scope and it sounds like they are buying many of these things and shipping them out without checking this easy to find problem. Quality control? The customer rep offered no help just said short scopes are like that - like what crappy? :|
