hey tinker ...i think those things look great ..i kept thinking..
I wonder how those are going to "turn" out (pun intended)
but realy, they look real good and you may have the record for making a custom product for the matrix...well i guess the string guys realy won that one
im interested in how they sound verses the steel...good call on the nylon..
the only draw back i can see is the cold..but youll find out that out soon im sure...i love to see guys invent :D

If Nylon fails the test there is always Aluminum, Brass, or Steel if necessary, that can replicate the pattern:wink:

im certainly no enginer(and cant spell it ) but i think the sound damping may work better with a softer material such as nylon..i guess you realy need to test the factory ones to know :D
Hey Don... any thoughts on this?

No question about that Stan. The more you can make the medium "do" something like bend the less energy is transfered. But then there's frequencies to consider. But I think there other better avenues to explore.

FYI:
BigJohn was today sent the set of StringTamers shown in the pictures. Wish him a speedy recovery and hopefully he will receive them in a couple days and be able to start his testing with them installed on his new Matrix 355.
