All of the talk about soaps with UV brighteners making you glow to deer is a crock in my opinion. My hunting clothes have always been washed in Tide, All, Cheer, or any of the other on-sale detergents of the week. When hunting from the ground with a good background behind me, I've had deer walk with 10 steps of me countless times and never notice me at all. If UV brighteners were an issue at all, I would be the poster child of abusers. I've never been let down by my camo.
As for cold weather garments like my coat, overalls or coveralls. They may never see a washing machine.

All of the scent or UV control in the world means nothing if you happen to move or make a sound at the wrong time. I feel many people think that a deer must have winded them if it spooks for some unknown reason. Actually the deer just detected some sudden movement or sound by the lollipop on a stick in the tree above them.
