As Will Rogers said:

The few who learn by observation.
The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.

What can I say. I grew up on a cattle ranch and ate nothing but venison. Now I live in a place where there are twenty to thirty whitetails in my front yard every evening and I eat beef.

Crazy world, eh?

My rankings:

First- Elk

Second- Pronghorn

Third - Moose

Fourth - Deer

I would have included alligator at number one but but I think that just may cross over into the "seafood" category.

I have not tried Elk or Pronghorn . . .however, those Moose burgers off of Boo's grill were awesome!
I'd rather wear out than rust out.

Bison would be #1 on my list, followed by moose, elk and deer.

The very first time I went , I was wit my brother in law. We took a young buck and as we approached it, I told him that I would never shoot another deer if I didn't like the taste of the meat.
Too bad for the deer
I would eat it before beef ANY DAY!!
